I’m not kidding. I had a one-on-one conversation with David Lynch today.
I was coming out of a doctor’s office this afternoon and crossing Hollywood heading north on La Brea towards my car and what a weird site.

One reading “FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION Laura Dern” and the other saying something like “Without Cheese There Would Be No Inland Empire” and meanwhile circling all around him (and the banners) is this live COW (with some cowpoke taking him around).
It was totally weird. I walked up next to him and Lynch kinda “reads me” and starts talking with me.
So I reciprocated. And there I was…chatting with one of America’s greatest film directors, while this cow is circling around us. Just Lynch, me, the cowboy and the cow.
(And wouldn’t you know it, this was one of the rare times that I DIDN’T have my camera with me!!!)
I do hope this publicity stunt for his new film INLAND EMPIRE will end up on someone’s cameraphone soon enough.
Or, did I just dream all this up??????
